It’s a pleasure to work alongside Tempe Mayor Corey Woods and Mesa Mayor John Giles who are great champions of early childhood education and support programs. These past few days at the League of Arizona Cities and Towns Conference have been very productive - I can’t wait to continue the work!

City of Globe Mayor, Al Gameros and Mayor Mila Besich of Superior are also strong advocates of early childhood and our work on the child care crisis. They are both on the League of Cities Committee. Great work Joe and Sarah!

“Through advocacy, we give voice to Arizona's youngest citizens and their families.” This morning, I facilitated an advocacy training at the Northwest & Southwest Regional Council Member Retreat.I am inspired by our council members’ dedication to creating an early childhood system where infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can thrive. Special thanks to my outstanding team, Dylan Frye and Samantha Taylor for their invaluable support.

I am incredibly grateful for the state legislature's bipartisan support for this significant child care investment. Not only will this help Arizona families, but it will also greatly benefit our economy. Thank you to Governor Hobbs for her leadership and commitment to ensuring all children have access to affordable quality child care. I would also like to extend gratitude to the community and business leaders who supported this effort. The work continues. Onward.

Just wrapped up a fun and informative session on policymaker engagement at the FIRST THINGS FIRST 2024 Regional Council Summit. It was a pleasure facilitating this training, which focused on advanced strategies for effective policy advocacy. I am proud of the commitment and eagerness of our council members to make a difference in Arizona's early childhood systems. The work continues! Onward!
